The Township Committee, working with the Environmental Commission and Wildlife Advisory Sub-committee, has approved a pilot Deer Management Program for the upcoming 2019-2020 hunting season. This new individual permit program is open to Readington Township residents ONLY and is strictly for bow hunting ONLY.
The program will augment the existing hunting club lease program. The purpose is to manage whitetail deer populations on Township-owned properties at safe levels and provide recreational and educational opportunities as well as optimizing opportunity for maintaining and preserving a healthy woodland habitat.
